The Quebec City Film Festival (QCFF), presented by Québecor and powered by Restos Plaisir, as well as MK2 | MILE END are pleased to announce that the film And the birds rained down directed and scripted by Louise Archambault will open this 2019 edition. This film is an adaptation of Jocelyne Saucier's best-selling novel of the same name. The movie cast and crew will be present and will walk the red carpet on Thursday, September 12, 2019 to the sound of the Orchestre Symphonique de musique de film de Québec (OSMFQ). The celebrations will begin with a screening of short films in the form of an outdoor Cinéconcert at Place d'Youville accompanied by the OSMFQ and will be followed by a screening of And the birds rained down from 8 p.m. in the Raoul-Jobin room at Palais Montcalm.Read more

CinePasses are easy and efficient. Newbies, we will explain the basics. Experienced QCFFists, we'll refresh your memory.
You can use your CinePasse to book a ticket for the number of screenings that allows your Cinepasse. When you have booked and seen the allowed number of screenings (5, 7 or unlimited), you will have the possibility of showing up to other screenings and wait in the Blue line. The SODEC announced today that from now on, to submit a project, screenwriters and directors will have to be represented by a producing company. To foster the bond between professionals, the program will organize networking opportunities before deadlines, such as social meetings and expert classes.
